Poe Springs itself is an easy float or hike and is less than 200 yards from parking.
Day use and boat launch and/or storage is available on our riverfront land.
In the nearby uplands, there is a series of trails featuring bird watching, a rich plethora of rare and diverse native plants and wildlife.
We are available to inform you as to our approach to turning a fire-deprived scrub oak forest into a rare uneven growth longleaf pine/ wire grass ecosystem using no heavy equipment or broadcasting of herbicides.
Our hand cultivated timber farm offers experiences in controlled burns, targeted and handplanting of containerized longleaf seedlings, and piling of deadwood for barn fires.
Seemingly far from civilization or city light pollution, while only three miles from downtown
High Springs, our property is situated in a microclimate that is always much cooler in the warm months.
Tutorials in off grid building construction, Agricultural Tax Classifications, the Florida Right to Farm Act and sawing and drying your own lumber are available.
